I´m thinking about to buy such a rifle, for "just for fun" shooting. How accurate are this type of single shot rifles. And what´s with the quality? Buy or not?

Thanks, Martin

The Pedersoli Sharps replicas sold in the US have a splendid accuracy reputation, they're plenty accurate enough to win any silhouette match at any competition level if the shooter can do his part.

I 'assume' that the trapdoors have the same splendid barrels as those Sharps sold in the US.
Regards, Joe

Do they have a repro Buffington Sight? If not, expect maybe 3-5 inches at a hundred yards.
You might check at www.montanavintagearms.com here in the US.
A good vernier tang rear sight and an adjustable hooded front, and it might surprise you.

No. Look here.

This year I bought two better Pedersoli vernier tang sights, a schutzen soule for my High Wall and a Goodwin-style for my Sharps. The MVA-sights are here in Germany toooooo expensive, between 500.-€ and 800.-€.

I certainly wouldn't expect it to be a big seller at that price.

I have a Pedersoli Goodwin sight on my Pedersoli Gibbs ML. It would be a good choice for a rolling block as the staff is offset to the right and does not interfere with loading/unloading and cocking the hammer as much as other tang sights. It is big, heavy, well made, and perfect for left (or right) hand shooters as the scale is read from the back instead of the side as with most other vernier tang sights.
