well took out the NEF .357 MAg single shot out and put it through some accuracy tests at 50 yards and 100 yards. I did them in 9 shot groups using 140gr XTP HP with 19.0 grs of H110 and a CCI magnum primer the next load was a 158gr Speer UCSP and 16.5 grs of H110 and a CCI magnum primer. I am finding that the Speer 158gr are very accurate and at 100 yards I did shoot 3 that I took my time with and timed my breatheing to the triger pull and manged to get 3 to tuch at 100 yards with I am very impreced with. I am thinking if I buy more of thease and waigh all of them out and mach them up by the waight and then try anf clean up some of the lead excess that is on the out side of the tip from the copper I would think I could get a fair amout of them to shoot very well at 100 yards. I am not sure the volicitys of the bullets but do know at 70 yards both loads will go thru 4 1 Gallon milk jugs and in to a hard packed snow bank 20 yards behind the milk jugs The scope I used for this is a Leupold VariX Compact 3-9X33mm and had it set at 6X for the 50 and 100 yard shooting, also used Burris Z-Rings that are steel and Low hight with the NEF factory bass trigger pull is about 5 lbs. Conditios was a slight over cast 36 degres and very slight breez in to my face. I was shooting into the south and off sand bags. I do have some pics but dont know how to get them up and can e-mail them to some one if they are willing to help me out | ||
