You should be OK. I would do a sight check each time you move the scope. The QD rings may make it a little easier to move the scope.

| I would definitely advise against that unless you want a bent or pinched scope. You should always loosen the rings when moving a scope from rifle to rifle. Not necessarily if you are putting it back on the same rifle. But definitely if you are putting the scope on a different rifle. Tom.

There is one in every crowd, and I would only loosen the front ring and keep the square of the scope in the same position, while preventing the binding potential mentioned above. After the switch, tighten the front ring as normal. Member NRA, SCI- Life #358 28+ years now! DRSS, double owner-shooter since 1983, O/U .30-06 Browning Continental set.

OK, that sounds right to me. I thought I should loosen a ring on the scope to avoid binding. I would assume the same would be true for the QD rings also. Thanks guys.

sorry but why? The cost to sight in every time you move will add up, not to mention the time. Bases to barrel relationship is going to vary you all over, not to mention traj. of each gun. I know good scopes are not cheap but......
