Hi Guys,

I have a Remington Hepburn in 219 IMP, however, I do not have dies for it. I would like to shoot it to see if I want to keep it or sell it.

Would any of you have 10 or so cases or ammo that you would sell me? If you do have some cases I would prefer them full length sized so I can load them for my rifle.

Thanks,
Marcos (elalto)

Cannot help you directly, that's a tough one.

To plan your course of action, a chamber cast would be helpful.
Ammoguide shows the 219 Improved with a 28° Neck angle.
If you could verify that, the 22-250 shows the same neck angle so you could use those dies. If you or a local buddy reload for that cartridge, great.

For cases you can use Hornady 25-35 as the donor brass.
If you're feeling extra adventurous you can tear down S&B 5.6x52r ammo.
Cases will need a trim down to length.

Good luck and I hope you can get that old queen shooting again.

I would never use any 25-35 brass for making 219s..I would use 30-30 brass..25-35 brass has never worked well and you lose 70% of your cases..Same with 25-35 IMP or if your making just 25-35 brass use the 30-30, Something about all 25-35 brass that's ever been made, its pretty common knowledge..Ive been reloading the 25-35, for years and several other caliber based on 25-35 and 30-30 brass. always ended up using the 30-30...Rem is best, WW is next.

However I have not used the Hornady 25-35 brass for anything as yet..but you will know pretty quick how well it works when you start blowing out the shouder..
