I am looking to replace the front sight on my Ruger #1 in 9.3 X 74R. Another forum on this subject suggested the ones from New England Gun Works if I recall. My question, is the larger white dot or the fiber optic the best way to go? I see where NEGW has a booth at SCI Reno and was wondering if anyone knows if they have these sights for purchase at the Convention? Thanks for all the insight in this.

I suspect that the NECG flat topped sight will allow you to maintain more consistent elevation.
