It's best to stay away from forums like that.

Ruger still lists a #1-V on their web site. Doesn't make it official but it appears they are still offered for sale.

That would be a great shame; I have one of their 1V's in 22PPC which was a factory option for just 1 tear in 1993.

Hold still varmint; while I plugs yer!
If'n I miss, our band of 45/70 brothers, will fill yer full of lead!

Checking their site it appears the stainless varmint models have been discontinued.

I have a practically new 1V in 6 mm Remington I want to sell. It's in Germany however.

I have a 2009 printed cataloge, and the 1v is still in there. I don't remember if it is the stainless version or not. The cataloge is in my truck, and it is in the shop for all day.

I saw a guy selling a 1V, actually two of them now on varminthunters.com and he put in his ad how they were discontinued and hard to find. I think it was sales-hype on his part.

In 2007 bought a beat up used #1V 223 on an on line auction, cleaned out the copper, put a scope on it, went to the range and it shot a 0.46" 5 shot 100yard group on the first trip to the range.

It cost me $542 with shipping and FFL transfer.

Why would anyone have sold that rifle on an auction?

I would think anyone would keep that rifle to the day they die.

I fell in love fast and hard with that #1V.
