In a Ruger No1 they get 2100f/s with 400 grains bullet and a pressure of 37.000 CUP (Lyman manual). Is there anyone who know what velocity they can get from a 45-100 or 45-110 in the same rifle with 400 grains bullet and 500 grains bullet?

It�s a twist of 1:18" enough to stabilize a bullet of 500 grains with a velocity of 2000f/s to 2300f/s?

My 45x2 7/8" got about 2600fps with 400gr bullets with no problem. The barrel was a 20" twist.
A watermelon shot with this pretty well disappeared. Great fun. Regards, Bill.
