A Buck for my Holland

He is not my best buck, or even close in the horn department, but what a great hunt. I shot him with my Holland .30 super after a long stalk in very open country while he was bedded at just about 100 yards. A well placed shot at the base of his neck closed the deal. Hunting with and old single shot sure adds to the fun.

Mighty fine buck and rifle too! Is yours the Flanged version, and if so, where do you get brass besides Bertram?
Regards, Joe

It is the flanged version. I use Bertram at the moment, but do have a bunch of Horneber(sp?) brass that I need to try out. Huntington's ordered it for me but it was not cheap, 100 piece minimum order too.

I've never had any luck with Bertram brass in the several calibers I've tried and I've long wanted a 375 Holland Flanged but the brass problem has stopped me so far. Please let us know how the new brass works out!
Regards, Joe

Nice deer and a very nice rifle.
Makes you feel good when you have a successful hunt with a Classic rifle like that.

You, Sir, are a man of impeccable taste!

Lovely rifle, excellent calibre, and kudos to you for taking the time and trouble to keep it shooting.

That is a fine rifle, and well preserved. Can't beat a falling block single shot rifle.

That's a mighty fine rifle, how much does it weigh?
What are your hand loads?
Thanks
