Steve Bertram has a rare Farquharson on offer right now which has this crest inlaid into the stock: Someone of Royalty for sure but the date is later than when this rifle was made, correct? I thought I read somewhere that Abdul Rahim Sait was the son of the Sultan (of where I cannot recall). Perhaps a present? Can anyone shed some light on who this man was?

I've found a court case here: https://lawsuitcasefinder.com/...plo2ETYU5Z2oRx5wMgs5 The owner of Salisbury Estate. Also, if the court case man is the correct person, geni.com has him living from around 1853 to 1963 https://www.geni.com/people/Kh.../6000000106680983996

Makes sense that it is the correct person. I really wonder what the original owner used it for? I hope it was not just a show piece because he was wealthy and he actually used it!
