I picked up a little rossi .357 mag., for cheap from my brother. Its the satin stainless finish.
Due to terrible eyesight I mounted a scope and went to the targets.
Geez! From a flimsy folding table rest I figured to zero at 40 yds. to give me decent point blank distance , with the high mount required to miss the hammer. I fired the first 5 as fast as I could reload, ALL TOUCHING! After adjusting and cooling I fired 3 more shots, the best we can measure, the group was one hole, .390" I let the barrel cool and repeated 3 more times, Same result! With off the shelf ammo, UMC 125 gr, jfp's.
I think I may have just found my new 100yd. 'yote medicine, wadda' ya' think?

BTW, I just measured the trigger pull, a very smooth 3.25 lbs.

I've got one in .44 mag that I'm just crazy about. It has definite ideas about what ammo it likes. I like the slim receiver and it has a more finished and sleek look than the NEF single shots. I'd like to have a whoole battery of Rossi rifles in various calibers. The factory sights are plastic and I'm waiting for mine to break off before putting some serious sights on. I'd like to see them with shorter barrels, splinter fore-ends, and lighter butt stocks -- great back packing rifle.
