Ruger No 1 Accuracy with light bullets
I've been playing with my old red pad Ruger No. 1 and most people use the heavier 150 grain bullets in these guns but I couldn't get them to shoot under 1.5" at 100 yards.

I decided to try the 130 grain TSX bullets and got them to consistently shoot three shots into an inch. Just for fun I decided to try the 110 grain Barnes TTSX and was amazed at the results.

These are the first loads that I tried with this bullet. Except for one shot that I pulled with 51 grains of Reloader 15, this gun shot everything under an inch and two loads under half an inch.

I guess I have my antelope load for this fall.

Good shooting! Ever measure the twist of the rifle? Maybe it is a tad slow for a .270 Winchester.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.
