I use the Uncle Mikes ammo holder. It works well, is light and gives me 9 or 10 rounds of ammo, should I decide to load it up. I'm a lefty but I just reverse it and it fits fine.

I like this one and it's cheaper. I do make a simple modification though since it tends to slip forward during recoil. I burn a hole through the bottom part so the sling swivel stud with fit through it and I reinforce the hole with thread and it then stays securely in place.

That is very similar to the one I have. I may have called mine an Uncle Mike's but it may actually be identical to the one pictured.

I don't have an Encore any more, but I have the nylon butt stock carrier and a neoprene one which is similar to the one in the link below, I much prefer the neoprene, it's very quiet when still hunting in brush compared to the nylon.

I make them with the hole already in built and the sides of the hole reinforced (so the hole doesn't get any bigger). I have also used stronger / tougher elastic so it wears well.

They will be available in the US shortly as non of the current US made one's have the hole in built and having to modify a purchased product like you do isn't good.

I'll try to post a picture.

Ordered the Eagle Stock Pack for my Encore. Arrived yesterday.
Easy fit, works great, carries 5 rounds and room for a lens brush and bore snake in the little pouch. The mole-skin cheek pad is
a real plus on hard kickers like 35 whelen, 416 Rigby and 45-70.
Got mine in Ranger Green, camo is extra cost. Shipping was
only $5. USPS priority mail. Satisfied customer.

Good Shooting

That is the same exact one I use.

I slid mine on the buttstock and then removed my rear sling swivel stud, poked a hole in the ammo holder and reinserted the rear sling swivel stud through the hole in the ammo holder, No more sliding around. This positions the ammo holder so the rear edge of it is about even with the front of the recoil pad / end of buttstock and has worked great.

T/C makes a neat two-cartridge holder that fits over the forearm. Nice rig. If interested, I'll find a photo of mine tomorrow.
