I am considering buying an encore with a barrel chambered in 6.5 x 284 Winchester. I would like to use this for myself and as a first hunting gun for my son. I would get an extra stock we can cut down for him. Can anyone give advise on this caliber for the emcore and any recommedations regarding modifications or changes made to the encore to make it shoot more accuratly, and a companies that are good at doing it.

I have no experience with this cartridge, but if I bought a barrel with accuracy in mind, I would consider On Target Technolies or Bullberry.
