I have seen pics of Blasers Falling Block BL 820 rifle on the web and want info on it. Anyone tried one? According to Blaser´s website, it was produced between 82 and 90 and discontinued because of high production costs. Thats all I have found out so far but I want more!! Weight, Length, Calibers and everything else! Regards Jim PROUD MEMBER OF DRSS!!

It's a Hagn action, nothing more.

What is wrong with modern Blaser rifles?

They are from plastic and aluminium. Like kids rattle

Nice Rifle. It is similar to the Hagn action but not the same, especially where the cocking mechanism is concerned. They are nice pieces and get good prices in Germany.

If that were true, which it isn't, it would be damning with faint praise!

Mercedes Benz uses lots of composites and aluminum too, but not all Blaser rifles are synthetic. There are wood and steel receivers in all models offered today. Have you ever fired a Blaser rifle?

Good for you. Great rifles. Almost as good as the R8.

These actions are a Hagn other than a very small change. I have seen the contract between Martin Hagn and a Blaser to manufacture them. Martin told me they never paid him the money agreed to use his design. They ripped the design and him off. Nice business people. But that's not uncommonwith large companies.

Roman! Nice buck! I didn't realize that the European Roe Deer made it all the way to Moscow, I had figured that the Siberian Roe deer were farther West than that. This must be out at the Dacha?

Thanks! Actually European Roe Deer lives on all European part of Russia even in thousand kilometers on East from Moscow. Siberian Roe Deer lives on the other side of Ural mountains. Those two deers were taken in the West part of Russia near border with Poland.
