A LGS has hooked me up with a guy who wants to sell his Ruger No.1 in 38-55. I have no idea of it's current value, but I know I'd like to buy it. Can anyone give me a range of values on this rifle today? Thanks!

I had one of the .38-55 Ruger No.1s years and years ago and have always regretted parting with it. As I recall, the groove diameter was larger than .375" and that was one of the motivators to sell it. Dumb, dumb, dumb on my part. There were very few made.
Like any of the more rare No.1 chamberings, I'd guess a collector of these things would pay well over going rates for this one. I wouldn't part with one for less than $2K.

I have a bunch of Ruger No. 1s and I never knew they were ever chambered for 38-55! I would say this is a real collector's find! Good thing you found it before me! Congratulations sir!
