I'm looking at buying a sporterized Remington Rolling Block (1899 Swede conversion) with the .319" bore. Are there any jacketed bullet of that diameter made? Frank, if you can resist the temptation to build something on the action, you are a better man than I. Keep pressures well under control, in spite of the wonderful re-heat treating these guns got. Some of the data out there is scary. My last 8X58 is now a .50-70 "buffler" gun ... There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t. – John Green, author

That's what I don't want is another project. I had two guns built in the last year and I don't have a load for either of them yet and I still have to build a 458 Win Mag and restore a Savage 99. This is chambered in 8x58R but only using cast bullets for the .219 bore. If it was a .323 bore I would have bought it already. Winchester made .319 bullets for the 32 Special and various European makers are making .319 bullets for the various early 8mm bores. I wouldn't be surprised if the older US 8x57 ammo didn't use the smaller .319 bullets as well. Regards, Joe __________________________ You can lead a human to logic but you can't make him think. The correct bore should be .325cal. The same cartridge is for use in the Danish Krag and rolling blocks as well. DRSS: HQ Scandinavia. Chapters in Sweden & Norway
