Anybody know where I can find a used Ruger #1B stock? The eye relief is a long reach. I dont want to cut my original stock. I would rather get a used/banged up one to cut and add a recoil pad. I did see the Moulds scope mount, but didnt like the $120 price tag. Checked a few sites, like e-bay, but no luck. If anybody has a used one they are getting rid of, I might be interested. And the big gun show in Boise doesnt come again til winter.

I believe Ruger will swap your rings for an extended set. You might try that first, or just buy the extended set outright. Give them a call.

Thanks for that info. I didnt know Ruger made those rings. Unfortunately, my Leupold objective end bottoms out on the quater-rib, and cant go any farther back. So I think my only other option is to cut the stock, or look for another scope that wont contact/bottom out on the rib....crap.

If you think you could use a Ruger No3 stock, I have a spare that has about a inch cut off the back. Will let it go real cheap.

Drifter, thanks for the offer, I will have to keep you in mind. I think I am going to check on another scope that wont make contact on the rib. If it doesnt work out so well, I will try and contact ya...
