How does one remove the rear sight from a Martini Cadet??

Two screws (shown right of the sight box) and that should be it. I can't remember, but it might be soft soldered. If it doesn't come loose after removing the screws, a hot wrench (propane torch) will take care of the solder.

Yes it is exactly like that one. I removed the 2 screws, but it wouldn't budge. Must be soldered. Not sure if I will remove it if it takes a gas wrench. I am trying to fabricate a holographic red dot sight to fit on the original sight, or sight base. Grant.

Yes they are soldered in place, It is soft solder so not too hard to get off.
