Chuckwagon, If everyone beleived the gunwriters in the gunrags, we'd all be shooting 270, 30-06, some newfangled "short magnum" or whatever! If they couldn't get under 1"@100 yards either they had a true POS gun or they can't shoot!!!!
As far as velocity goes, my testing, not on one or two rounds and not on just one test day, but probaly 80 factory 32 grain loadings and 4-5 different test sessions, I got an average of 4149fps. The factory loads consistently shoot in the .6's and .7's and my handload using 28.3 grains of H4895 consistently is in the .3's and .4's!! You need to read less and shoot more!! GHD
