I am at the point where I must choose the caliber for my new single shot rifle build I have single shots in 300 H&H (being built now), 308 palma, 223, 260 rem, 45-70, 357 mag, 44 mag, 45 colt,22 lr,45-110 but I have a side lever Hall F action being built now and I don't have any idea of what caliber to build, I have thought about a 338-74R Keith, 338-06 and 375 H&H. I don't feel that the action is large enought to a larger caliber like 450-400 or the like. Does anyone have any ideas? I plan to use the rifle to hunt medium to large game every where I can, but it should be a caliber that would be resaleable if something was to happen to me.

9,3x74R. My first choice though, like yours, was the 338-74KT.
