Does anyone have one of these? I just bought one, but it seems like the entire supply of brass and ammo dissapeared as soon as I bought the thing. I'm just trying to decide if the barrel is going to be worth this much trouble. I'm even having trouble finding a forend to fit the 23" barrel. I bought this as a coyote and starter deer rifle for my daughter. But if it's going to be a hassle to find brass for, I'll just sell this and buy a bolt action 25-06 and call it good. If anyone has any experience with this caliber I'd love to hear about it. If it's worth it, I'll keep the barrel and just wait for ammo and/or brass to become available again. If not, I have a 23" 6.8 SPC barrel for sale, NIB, never even mounted. Thanks Shipping FedEx Ground keeps a small business running. "I'm not late, I'm early for tomorrow."

I can't see what all the "excitement" is about.... it's a 270 winchester with no steam... it's only redeeming quality in my opinion is the ballistics "mimic" a 308.... with a much lighter bullet.... The military isn't going to use it (that was the biggest PR lie Remington and the couple NCOs who developed this round ever concocted) so unless it somehow really catches on it's pretty much doomed like so many before it. The cartridge is a marketing tool to get guys to buy more brass, bullets, barrels, rifles etc. It does nothing in the woods that a 243, 257 bob or 25-06 doesn't already do better. I'd chuck that thing on Ebay. Aim Small, Shoot Small
