It has been a while since this rifle-model was introduced... A beautiful slim, trim rifle as Ron Spomer says… I personally like the design of the rifle very much. But I would like to know more about your experiences with this rifle. How strong is the action in reality? What’s your feel when you compare it to “classic” break open guns? How efficient is the extractor for rimmed cartridges? Do you feel any important difference in handling between the custom LT and the custom FQ? What is the bluing quality? How do your rate the overall craftsmanship? What is the precision you can get with your ammo? Any other inputs are appreciated... CZ

There are several of us here that have posted very positive comments about them and I am very satisfied with mine.

I really like mine. Wood is outstanding, and the checkering is superb. Bluing is nice and it shoots very accurate....right under an inch with 90 grain bullets (it is a 6br). I have number 64 off the line--and fit and finish are first rate. The action looks to be very strong---I would D not want a 500 Jeffery in one..not because it would not handle it,but because the rifle is so nice and trim. What I like about the M11, it is made by folks that are real people. You can call on the phone and talk to. It is made in America,by Americans for a reasonable amount of money. When was the last time we have seen that? I hope we continue to see good products come out of Luxus arms, for a long time. Ed DRSS Member

CZ, Without getting technical, I can answer your underlying question. I would buy it again. It is built wonderfully light and well balanced. The quality of wood, checkering, fit and finish are excellent. There are thoughtful touches to the rifle that make it special. It is easy to carry, shoot and I enjoy shooting it very much. It shoots quite well and is a pleasure in the field. I have an early gun so I can't address some of your questions, others can. If you are searching for a single shot rifle that has many redeeming qualities and very few downsides, you should consider the M11.

I suspect that the OP was thinking about the difference between the "falling block" type action a al Ruger #1 vs the "falling barrel" a la TC and Luxus model 11. That is my question too, as there is one for sale in the Classifieds right now! Peter. Be without fear in the face of your enemies. Be brave and upright, that God may love thee. If you compare it to a good falling block like a Ruger No 1 or a Farquharson or the Martini Hagn it has some technical limitations. The primary one for me is that it isn't self cocking. If I'm already limited to a single shot, I don't want to have to cock the darn thing too! The wood is pretty, but it has much the same method of operation as my old break-open Savage 30-30 single shot! And the hammer on the old Savage was centrally hung, unlike the strange sidehammer arrangement on the Luxus. Quick, Cheap, or Good: Pick Two

My experience with them is that they are very accurate, lightweight, easy to takedown and transport and have great wood. The downside is that they are abit slower to operate as they don't have an ejector and empties have to be pulled out and repeat shots are slower. But who buys a single shot for speed of fire anyway? The takedown feature and weight makes a difference when you are traveling And if you are careful most game only requires one shot Anyone who claims the 30-06 is ineffective has either not tried one, or is unwittingly commenting on their own marksmanship Phil Shoemaker Alaska Master guide FAA Master pilot NRA Benefactor www.grizzlyskinsofalaska.com

I clicked the link for your site but I couldn't find anything on the rifles for sale. I searched for "Luxus" with no results either. Is the little knob on the right side of the action, the cocking piece? It doesn't look usable for a lefty. No, the rifles are not on the site. I would be happy to send anyone pictures if desired. Actually the cocking piece can be used by either hand. I'm right handed, but can cock it easily with my left hand.
