I finally got everything together and a couple of hours of daylight to shoot this thing. After some shoot and clean shots, I sighted in at 25 yards and then shot a can to check the splat effect (crushed pineapple if it matters). I'm glad I was 25 yards away from it. I moved a target out to about muskrat range (125 yards) and it was shooting 10" high with the scope adjustment bottomed. I had wondered if the offset/angled bore would need the Burris offset ring inserts and it looks like it will. I thought I had a set but my CRS is working overtime. I will probably find them as soon as I order a set. I got a 5 shot group on paper by holding on the staple at the bottom right corner of the paper; the tape measure says about 0.75". Either this thing wants to shoot or else I got lucky. It needs some more tinkering before I get too serious with it (epoxy bedded forend, a lighter trigger and the offset ring inserts installed and I need to find the sunshade for the scope). It's a MGM Encore 17 WSM 24" long full bull barrel with offset chamber and a Luxus Arms stock set from when they were experimenting with Encores and a Bushnell Elite 4200 6x24 scope with dot on a Harris bipod and sandbag with 17 WSM 20 gr VMax at 3000fps.

I called MGM regarding a 17 WSM barrel they had in stock. It was gone.
I'm hoping to get one this fall but am waiting to see if a LH bolt gun will be offered by some maker.

Cliff I am with you. I have 17 WSM ammo at the house waiting for a lefty but I would go the encore or contender route to get there.

Looks like we need a large dose of patience. I'm not sure if we'll ever see one.

I don't know anything about left hand bolt rifles but MGM is making contender and encore barrels.

Good to hear. When I last spoke to them, they had none in inventory. I suppose they are "build on order."
