Can anyone make recommendations for putting a peep sight on a Savage 24C? I have seen open sights on a base that can be put on .22 scope groves but they are not very impressive nor do I know where they are from, who makes them, etc. With the existing sights, I was able to make a four-shot cloverleaf at 10-15 yards standing propped against a tree, but the rear sight was fuzzy to the degree that my aim was largely guesswork. I could not shoot that well quickly with the sights on it. Otherwise, I am happy: the .22 is accurate with CCI Stingers and the 20 puts foster slugs near the same point of aim. I picked it up the other day from a customer who wanted a Remington Viper so I swapped with him to have as a camp gun. It was a fun little diversion from the Ultra Slug project and I will always have some foster slug ammo around because that is what I keep near Mrs. Powell's LT-20 should #3 buck prove insufficient. Anyway, if there is a small peep that can be added without getting in the way any more than the standard sight is (for shooting birdshot in the 20) I would love to know.

See if Williams still makes one that will work with Savage 24. Good hunting!

Williams did make a version of the Guide Receiver Sight that mounted to the tip-off mount grooves on the .22 barrel. I think they still do. There have been others but they might take a bit of looking.
