Its really kind of spooky over there almost like a funeral or something , just as I suspected the lawyers took a look at all the ideas and modifications we posted and got scared , freedom of speech is'nt that one of them amendmants that we will lose if we don't use it ,H&R was great but if they don't stand up for something like this they will be next on somebodies hit list , you know them "single shot survivor sniper rifes" it just never stops until we lose everthing we have then you will know what you had . Like I said H&R should reconsider there actions before buckling under to someone that don't know Mr Krag from Mr Sringfield but does seems to know some of our more liberal senators and congressmen so to anyone wanting a email address go get it before its to late

No, I do not feel thier position is reasonable, just the easiest. I long ago learned the easiest way is not always the right way nor the best. I do agree with the fact that some "suggestions" on the old forums might have been improper or in error, however I also believe a company attorney(s) could have added a well worded disclaimer to the talk sites which would have insulated the companies from any successful litigation. Of course this might have been work, something most people nowadays avoid like the plague. Just take the easy way out, worry about no one but yourself.... God help us all....<><....

If they and their hired Guns (a.k.a. Lawyers) were so danged smart, looks like they would have thought of all this in the first place. They kinda look like "Native American Givers" (politically correct, not meant to offend, that's my disclaimer) the way they have handled things. Like you said, they took the 'easiest' route rather than the reasonable route.

Think about it this way H&R had the forum as long as you promoted their products the way they wanted, but when you say or look a differant way then they turn you off
Yeah, if you think about it, we were just pretty much pointing out all of the stuff that was wrong with the guns.
BUT, there are also people who say they bought a Handi only after reading about them on the board. I really think they might have just caused a negative impact on their sales.
I think their position is reasonable. There are not too many gun manufacturer sponsored forums anyway. Accuracy and responsibility takes a lot of effort.
Your freedom of speech is not changed, but you dont, nor have you ever had someones commitment to built, maintain, and take responsibility for your podium. All we lost is our podium, which we never owned in the first place.
