I hang out here, have 2 TCR 83 frames and 22 hornet, 22-250, 7mm-08, 7 mag, 32-40 and 12 gauge slug. I love the TCR, it ain't perfect, but mine all shoot well and are very purty!!

A lot of the info on the Bellm site may be old; his wife was very sick and just recently passed from this vale of tears, so he has been somewhat preoccupied as of late. However, there is a world of really good info there if one looks at the forums, and hits the "from the beginning" button. My first Encore barrel (.223 Rem.) would not keep a group with in a 20" circle, but by reading the trial and errors of some of the guys there, plus help from David White and Mike, I got it dialed in. I now own that one, plus a 7mm Rem. Mag. and 50 cal black powder, and they all shoot really well. It is worth the time to dig around in!

I do not know of any forums, but I do have a question. I have the TC Encore rifle. I know that they have the Contender also. When someone writes TCR I take that as Thompson Center Rifle, but which one? Does anyone have a preference? TC is 5 miles from my house, I have shot both of the rifles models and see the only advantage as being the strength of the Encore frame.

I have two '83 and one '87 TCR frames but only two 22-250, one 223 and one 12ga barrels for them. I really like the way they look and shoot, I would like to get some other barrels for them but they are hard to find!
I wonder how many of these things are still out there and of those that are, I wonder how many owners are on the "net". It would be very nice to have a message board for the TCR but how many would participate? I know I would.

I've never come across a TCR only sight. In addition to webiste forums, there are also mailing list forums. I know there was a T/C mail list I belonged to a few years ago.
I semi regret that I didn't pick up a TCR when I had a chance, but I've heard they had accuracy problems, which is one of the reasons they were disconitinued. It certainly was a neat concept, an attractive break open rifle, with the T/C inter changable barrel feature.
