Yes with barrels in 222, 243, and 30-06. Best woodstocked mountain rifle made.

I have one in 30-06. Never saw a need to change calibers. It's my favorite rifle, period. Took it to africa, shot everything up to an eland with it.

It's going with me on a goat hunt this fall. A very good mountain rifle.

I would recommend a top notch 25mm tube. The 30s will overpower the svelte feel of this gem.

Take a look, one might become available used for a lot less. I have seen them in the 3500 range, including scope.

jb,

Yes, I've got a K95 Luxus Stutzen in 7x57R.

It was my retirement present to myself and I'm happy I made the decision to reward myself after two careers - it truly is a nice rifle.

I did not pay close to the Manufacturers Suggested Retail; the discount in double digits; not bragging but I explained to the Dealer I'd a limit to what I was willing to spend and if he wanted to put me in a New Car Rifle today he'd have to bend a little. Surprisingly; it went real smooth after that .....

Accordingly, the Dealer had 5 stocks sent for my sampling (a benefit being here in The Fatherland) plus I was paying a surcharge for a L/H stock anyway. I selcted one of the 5 that suited my taste and remarked to the Dealer if the forearm wasn't cut from the same blank I wouldn't accept the rifle. Worked perfectly and that's the way it arrived (especially so with the all wood version depicted above).

Accuracy with this rifle has been spectacular. Even when working up loads with 120 gr. Barnes TSX's, Nosler BT's & Sierra 140 grs., DWM & Hornady 154 grainers and RWS 177 gr. TIG's; I don't think I've ever fired a group that has gone over 1.5"; sorting the really fine stuff was easy because the groups appeared as you'd only shot two or three bullets out of 5 load test.

The 19.6" (50cm) barrel doesn't afford Blitz Schnell velocities but that's not what this rifle is all about anyway. The 177 gr. TIG's are trotting along at 2200+fps. but that's all you need for what I use this rifle for - stalking. It's the rifle I sling over my shoulder (and then not notice the heft) when I do a Lease "Walk About" - just perfect.

I'm working on some 120 gr. Barnes TTSX loads to speed things up a bit but quite frankly, the 154 Hornady Round Nose load is where I should still be living, can't leave a good thing well enough alone .....

Right now it's sporting a 1.5-4.5x24 Ultra Dot scope which is perfectly sized for this petite rifle. I don't use it for extended spells at the High Seat anyway; so a Huble Telescope not required.

It is by far the most expensive single rifle purchase I've ever made and I'm well pleased with it.

I wish you lots of luck attempting to make your K95 dream a realization - you won't be sorry if you do.

Cheers,

Number 10

I had a Stutzen in 308. I loved the rifle but it was cast for a right hand shooter and I am a lefty. It really slapped me when I shot it left handed. Shooting it right handed was a dream but I sold it Frowner because of the cast in the stock. The K95 may be the most beautiful rifle made and carries like nothing I have ever experienced. It's simply a dream.

I WILL have another one, though. And this one will have left hand wood. Smiler
