Most all my Encore barrels wear Warne headgear. The MGM Jeff spoke about is about as good as a mount can get. I like Warne rings and have all but standardized to them.

I have talleys on most of my rifles. As for Encores the guy at Talley told me that their one piece base/rings was the strongest way to mount a scope to a Encore. The problem is that there is not much to mount to. I have been drilling out the holes in the barrel & base and tapping the barrel for a larger machine screws . On my smokeless muzzel loading barrel I added 2 extra screws in front of the 4 tally screws in the base(6total) : there is room for them in front of the Tally screws.

I have the one piece Talley mount on my Encore's 20ga rifled ProHunter barrel. A 20ga slug has pretty good recoil and it has held up fine.
