If I were to shoot a slug out of my .45/410 should I leave the choke in or take it out? Dean

It won't hurt to shoot a shotgun slug through a choke, but accuracy tends to be better the less the projectile is deformed passing through the barrel. Take the choke out.

In this one instance, I'd try it with. The .452 barrel is grossly oversized for a .410 slug which is actually about .375. The choke just might straighten it up some.

With a $50 Steven OEM break action .410 that is built like a tank, I put a .452" FMJ 230 gr Montana Gold bullet in a 2.110" case [made from a modified 7.62x54R case], CCI200 primer, 45.5 gr H110, 2.900" OAL. Recoil was horrendous. The primer slightly cratered. The case was not sticky. The choke spit back .25" to the sight hole and the barrel now slugs to .395". Before that experiment, the choke was .385". I went on to shoot lots of worse loads, like 405 gr .458" cast, 40 gr H110, 45Colt brass, CCI200 primer, 2.6" OAl, seated with a hammer for full compression, no change to metal, but stock is damamged. The choke is holding steady at .395".
