Hello, I just got a 243 nef youth for my daughter to hunt with this year and I would like to put a scope on it, which mount fits this rifle? I saw I could order one from nef but would rather get one local if at all posible.
thanks
Dave

It didn't come with one? Mine did. I guess all you need to do is find a mount that all the holes line up.

the best thing to do is order the H&R ultra mount from H&R it comes with a set screw in the front for greater stabilization it by far is better than any after market rail and it has multiple slots to get the eye relief correct don't forget the hammer spur

747 Is correct on base and hammer spur, Weaver makes a base that fits NEF but it only has two cross groves for
rings to set there fore not enough adjustment for eye releaf. Datil

is the ultra scope mount actually longer that the standard nef mount?? In the pictures on their website the ultra mount looks a lot longer than the regular one. I tried mounting a bushenll trophy on my handi, and it turns out on this particular model the powerchange ring is bigger than the scope eyepeice and wouldn't clear the hammer completly. Also the leupold high rings from walmart seem to work the best for these guns
