Yes, I did consider the Ballards. I've never actually seen one, but they seem to have a good reputation. The Gun Digest (I beleive it is) has their quivilant to the special sporting listed at $2200. In going to their web site however is looks like the price would actually be closer to $3500 or $4000. Too rich for my blood.
