I just ordered a Cadet action from a guy named Vic Samuels in Nebraska who is converting the rimfires to centerfires. He bushes the breech block, installs a new firing pin, trues the action face, surface grinds the action walls, and polishes and details the entire action for $375.00 including the cost of the action. For an additional $75.00 you can get the action casehardened. He offers a one-week inspection period as well. I will report on the quality when it arrives. I am using this action for a 7-30 Waters walk-about gun. Dave One morning I shot an elephant in my pajamas. How he got into my pajamas I'll never know. - Groucho Marx

If it is a converted RF action, I presume it will be a BSA action from a target rifle - model 12, 15 or whatever. These have recently come on the market, and do make a nice base for a CF rifle. I have a 12/15 converted to 30-20 - a real tackdriver! Martini's Rule!

Loud-n-boomer: Could you double check Vic's phone number please? When I call the number listed above, I get an answering machine for some guy named "Frank". Please advise if the number above is not correct. Thanks, Jordan
