For any of you that didnt get to Dallas or Huston just a short note to let you know we will have our own booth this year at Vegas, Booth number 4450. We will have a few rifles there and a couple of barreled actions for your perusal. See you there,

Cheers Glenn

It was a great pleasure to stop by and handle these beautiful single shots this morning at SCI.

Very nice, and extremely well executed...I look forward to seeing them progress as they become discovered.

Just returned from a great trip to SCI in Las Vegas! I took the plunge & ordered a
Soroka Single Shot rifle from Glenn.

I just love the Farquharson action & his rifles are really functional works of art.

After lengthy discussions with Glenn, I've decided to go with a 30-06, deep relief engraving
(will probably leave it French Gray to highlight the engraving) & upgraded wood.
It will look something like the one in the link below.

I'm really not a collector & plan on hunting with it here in Wyoming (elk, deer & pronghorn)
as well as in Africa (Leopard/Plains game in 2013!).

It was fun to see how passionate Glenn is about these rifles. He has lots of great advice
in selecting the right optics (weight, eye relief,
overall fit,...) for his single shots.

Once they have the barreled actions, they are finished in South Dakota (engraving,
stocking,....) so hopefully I can stop over & follow the progress (only 3 hrs away)

I will update , (maybe with pics), as I can.

Jim

Thought I would post an update, Glenn has contacted me at least
four times asking about my preferences & making suggestions. He seems
as excited about the build as I am!

I picked out a nice piece of wood from his inventory, will try to get a pic.

Glenn has a new "takedown system", so if possible, I will lean towards
that. I already have a Dakota 375 traveler/takedown, all my double rifles
are obviously takedown, so this would fit in with the rest of the arsenal!

More later, Jim

Congradutaions on your rifle. I have met Glenn & spoken with him four the past four SCI shows. He is a good guy and had a beautiful product. I am sure you will be happy with that rifle. Hope I will be able to get one someday.
