problem: custom 6.5-284 with hanger bar system will not group consistantly. i noticed the forearm was rubbing against the frame. also, there was lateral movement with the forearm. will this cause my inconsistant groups? i just glass bedded the hanger bar to remove lateral movement and sanded the areas of contact with the receiver. hopefully this will work. if not, it is bellm over-sized pin time. i am use to shooting sub-MOA with my savage .308 and krieger barreled AR15. it is frustrating to shoot a rifle that i thought would shoot sub-MOA. Take the forearm off and try it; resting the hanger on your rest. This should tell you whether to look further if there is still a problem. I often shoot from the bench w/o the forearm. It makes barrel-changing quicker. Connelley

The oversize pin is good. No matter what the problems may be, it will help.
