Guy is asking $600 with the scope. Seems like a good deal. http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=389&ssid=4924207&rurl=...24207,lpid,1,cat,377

That's a buy! Look at the figure in the stock. There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t. – John Green, author

That rifle would go for $600 around my neck of the woods without the scope. If I didn't already have one in that caliber, I'd be all over that one like stink on shit. Paul B.

It's a rifle. It's a great buy. You want it. There...justified! Good hunting, Andy ----------------------------- Thomas Jefferson: “To compel a man to furnish funds for the propagation of ideas he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.”

Well, my scheme worked. I waited until this morning before I gave in and called on it. The seller was waiting for his buyer to show up at the front door. No regrets, Wife's car needs tires, we need more saving$$ in the bank in case one of us loses our job etc etc.

You can do just as well on your own, and at an affordable pace. First, find a used Ruger #1 at the best price...doesn't have to be 45-70. 2) Have I.T.&D. make your barrel, cut the chamber, and install: $200 approx. 3) Find a nice piece of wood on ebay (for a 2 piece stock) $100, then get it turned for your rifle: $150 to $200. Finish/sand/stain it yourself. Final gunsmithing until done: $150 The beauty is that you'll take 2 years to finish it, and you won't be paying the final cost out all at once. It's my favorite way of getting a firearm I want. Garrett
