I am new to the G2 Contenders, I don’t know if I am doing something wrong or if the gun is not working properly, but I can’t get the hammer to move. The receiver came with the hammer in the “At Rest” position. I installed the barrel with no problems. The gun brakes open and closes like it should, but the hammer still will not move.

I also downloaded the G2 manual and can’t find anything what addresses this problem.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for the input. I fixed the problem this weekend. It was the locking lugs (don’t know if this is the correct name) they were not going in far enough to release the trigger. I had to stone the sharp corner off the receiver and stone the burr off the locking lugs and it sees to work correctly now.

Thanks,
Buck3

Too bad the quality has gone so low that work like that is required to get the gun to function. I have had a couple of barrels that didn't quite work on one of my two frames but would work on the other. I have never had that kind of trouble with any of them. Oh, if you don't size your cases enough the gun won't lock up completely and you'll be looking at more questions. The hammer will apear to cock but it won't fire the gun. Its the same thing, the lock up isn't complete. DW
