What is the diameter of you cast bullet? Are you using anything between the powder and cast bullet (fiber wad, grease cookie, etc.) What is the barrel's rate of twist?

Concho, its probably the wheel weights. That triple 7 crap is not helping. If you are interested in a black powder load, use black powder. Change your bullet alloy to pure 30-1 lead/tin and lube the bullets with Black Magic lube. SPG/White Ligtning lubes work fine, too. You will find almost no one that has found a tolerable way to shoot the black powder subs in a cartridge rifle. 5744 on the other hand is an excellent way to go. j
