I sent these pictures and all the info to Remington. They contacted me today and according to them its actually a Remington model 4 Rolling Block rifle that was produced in 1894.

They also are not sure of the caliber. There were several .32 chamberings made in this year.

Thanks for all the help guys,

I believe someone at Remingtom doesn't know his a$$ from a hole in the ground.

The picture you posted is a No.2!

The No.4 has no serial number,it has a tang only on the top of the receiver.Where the rear of the receiver meets the wrist of the stock, the No.4 stock angle is about 90 degrees
instead of being slanted to the rear as it is in your picture. The stock and forearm in the picture is unlike a
No.4.The trigger guard of a No.4 sits toward rhe rear of the receiver
instead of foward as in the picture.
The N0. 4 was made only in .22,.25,and .32 RIMFIRE.

The no.2 and the No.7 were the only Remington Rolling Block rifles that had a receiver that slanted up to the rear at the junction with the stock.

Wildcat,

I think you are correct. I looked at pictures of both and I do have a No. 2. I e-mailed the guy at Remington back but he has not answered yet and probably won't.

Is there any way to get an estimated date of when it was made?

Thanks again for the help,

Remington stopped production of the No.4 Rolling Block in 1935.I don't know when it was introduced,it was listed in the 1902 catalogue but I believe it was introduced in the 1890s.I can find no markings on mine that would indicate the year of production.
