Got an e-mail yesterday. My Browning Lo-Wall .32 H&R (rebored from .22 Hornet) is in transit as I type. Can't wait to test it. Report to follow once the rifle arrives.

What bore size did you go with? What twist?

Mine is a .308 Bore and 1 in 10" twist.

It shoots everything from 85 grain JHP's to 165 lead equally well.

With a judicious load of H110 it propels 115 LCG's right at 2000 fps.

I left the twist to Dan Pedersen and he bored it for the standard .311 groove. I'll slug it when it gets here (still in transit) and take a twist reading.

I'm planning on using 115-120 grain cast almost exclusively and told him so when I sent the project out to be done.

Did you use the Browning or something else as the base gun?

Please tell me more about your heavy loads, as they sound just like the thing for target work.

What kind of sights do you have on yours?

I built mine on BF falling block.

Sights are a scope. Currently a 1" Weaver rimfire scope. I built this as primarily a rabbit & squirrel gun. But, the trigger as supplied was too light for field use. So, I have used it primarily for cast bullet silhouette.

I'll dig up more info on my heavy loads tonight. I use either Lil gun or H110 powder and 165s designed for leverguns. I never did chrono these. But they shot good and knocked down the Rams easy enough at 200 meters.

In the end I settled on the lighter loads as they required less Kentucky windage on my part.

I originally wanted a lever gun in this caliber and when I had mine built the Low Walls were way to hard to find & expensive. Yours should be a nice little rifle.
