I also have Leupolds on my 1885 High Wall in .22-250. I think they work great.

Custom made ones for Talleys are a good bet.

I usually install a small quarter-rib with Kimbers or Warne Premiers or Talleys.

Jim,
Do you make the custom bases for Talley rings?

Talley makes a one-piece base for the Highwall. It mounts on the barrel and cantilevers over the receiver to place the scope more to the rear. This is my favorite Talley mount for the Highwall. You can order the base milled for their aperture sight. The rear step is milled away and a detent is milled in the side for the locking screw. Their aperture sight on the one-piece base makes a nifty open sight for a Highwall.

What about the low wall? Are the mounts different?

They should work on the low wall too. But call them and find out. I just ordered some supplies last week from them and they said that their next batch of Highwall bases was due in this week.
