i just got a #1B 22/250 that has trashed wood, looks like it was used more as a club then a rifle. I've been posting in the classifieds for a stock set but so far no luck.
anyone have an idea where i can find a set?

i built a custom #3 and got a great laminated stock set from WENIG GUN STOCKS. they will cut to factory specs or give you 90% to finish yourself. good luck and good shooting !!

Well, I guess you can always send it back to Ruger. It's too bad they refuse to sell you the stock so that you can do it yourself.
The forearm on a 1B is fairly thick through the middle. you might be able to work that one down enough to fix it and then rechecker. There isn't that much leeway on the buttstock though.

Any decent ginsmith should be able to copy your stock & fit you up w/ a nice piece of wood.
