Well, it shoots alright. 11 shots inside 3" from three different shooters. off hand at 50 yards. I had a red Pachmyer Decelerator put on it. And it still has a pretty good thump. I'm going to get a NECG peep sight for it and work on some loads with a 400gr Hornady over IMR4831. We'll see what she'll do. Overall i'm very happy with it.Fit and finish are great for a factory shooter. Except the empties bounce off the safety. I'm going to have it recessed into the top of the tang. That'll take care of that. I'll keep you posted as we progress. Flick the rifle with your wrists as you drop the lever ... that helps them clear. I reckon we all write to Ruger about this and see whether they can make changes. Cheers... Con

With very little careful filing of the front edge of the safety slide, the empties will not catch there. Recessing the safety button would obviously work as well, but place some tape over the tang area just forward of the button so as to not scratch/marr the tang and slowly taper that forward edge and in a matter of minutes you have solved the problem. Have done it on a few and looks fine as well. Just a suggestion.
