I'm not a good source of information on the Hicks product but I'm real interested in knowing how you like it and if you think it's worth it. Please keep us posted.

i have it on a 22hornet the only thing i can see is, it holds its poi alot better. maybe a little better on accuracy. 80% poi, 20% accuracy thanks for the reply. it realy shot good any way 6 to 7tenths it just couldnt hold its point of impact

Ive never use the Hicks so my input here is limited.
What I do to my #1's is drill a hole in the hanger and tap a 6/32 machine screw through so I can adjust pressure on the barrel.
I think this is probably achiving much of what the hicks is doing.
It pays to relive some of the pressure from the back of the forend where it bears against the reciver then addust the pressure on the hanger till it gives the best accuracy.

On my 1V 22-250 I drilled the hanger and put in a adj screw. I ended up bedding the forend tip since I still had flyers. I went from 1inch groups down to .3 with the bedding. I think the rifle needs and barrel pressure as well as forend pressure.

Sounds like exactly what I've ended up with on my #1 .300. A little presure on the screw and still some on the end of the forearm.

Take away the pressure from the back of the forearm and you overcome all of the problems that ever gave a #1 A bad rep for accuracy. My .300 shoots 1/2 inch.

I feel your pain. My rifle drove me nuts for 3 yrs. I gave up several times. I put about 1 1/4 turn pressure and then still needed to bed the forend so that the barrel has a pressure point as well. I went from 1inch down to .3-.4. I wish it didnt take so long to figure it out.
