Like I said the first time. I really don't get involved in the politics of someones site. If he has hangups about the civil war, that's his problem, not mine. I get on this gforum, his and others to learn about the sport of shooting. You need to chill out with the name calling, cause I don't follow anyone because of their ideas on the civil war or any war and don't care.

What YOU fail to realize, and I'll not lower myself to name calling, is that I have been WAY more involved in much more than you'll ever know. I have been going to all the sites I can to learn about Contenders, and the GBO site is one of them as well as this site. I am aware that there are a number of people who HATE the GBO site. I realize this hatred is because of issues with the person in charge, whose name I could not even tell you. Going to a site to learn about Contenders to me is not joining the club, party, or whatever you want to call it. To many of you this issue seems to be a major concern and may even be one of the controlling issues in your life. Guilt by association was a major issue during the McCarthy years, I guess many of you still believe that.If you read a Communist newspaper it does not make you a Communist, if you read about Nazis it does not make you a Nazi, and if I chose to read about Contenders on a site it does not make me a follower of the person in charge of the site. I could not care less about the politics or interworkings or personalities of the people who read and post, I guess to many of you , it is all important.

I'm with you! I go to several sites, mostly because I want to learn about a particular gun, cartridge, etc.! I don't go to any of them to get into the politics of just how a site is run! There are some good points, but if you stir someone enough, they're going to get upset, then it'll be a while before you get along with them again, if ever.

I honestly feel that the sites were originally designed to take you where the books and reloading manuals couldn't!

I think those of us including myself who think GB is inconsitant with his behavior should relize this subject got started off on the wrong foot and the guys from GB are just taking it persoanal and in real life are prolly great guys personally. I started this thread because Gaybeard is truly a liar!!I never wrote anything offensive. Look at my two postings that have not been removed by Gaybeard. Show me what was offensive about them. At the old H&R site I never wrote anything that was not PG rated.

I did take my questions to Gaybeard himself. I went man to man out in public and asked him to his face. What did I get? First like a little SOB who did not have any balls he banned me without even telling me! No email, nothing just acces denied. Second Gaybeard edited my last posting!! He changed the wording!! What kind of ahole would do that? Third after I pointed out that the Hitler like Gaybeard edited my post he even went farther and finally removed my postings! The SOB could not take the heat.

There were a number of old H&R people at Gaybeards who were kissing Gaybeards ass for allowing them to post messages on his boards. I have news for them Gaybeard is a business man. It was not out of the kindness of his shriveled heart that he opened up his Gaybeards outdoors forum. It was and is a money making business. I dont fault him for that. these forums. The administrator of this site has some

I've had some pretty wild clashes with Bill aka Graybeard,
especially in his old forum. Got into it so bad with
Randy Wakeman that I was sure one of us would get permanently
booted, but nothing happened, and that was just last fall.

Fact of the matter is, this is not a perfect world. You
CAN learn something in all the different forums. And if

VC is right, you need to relax. let me tell you about life and hobbies, i have many hobbies, shooting, ham radio, astronomy, photography, flying, rebuilding automobiles, etc, but my favorite hobby is telling stories, so settle in and listen to this one. every hobby you get involved in has several phases (phase == time periods containing new experiences, i'll explain the double = sign later)) there's the honeymoon phase, that's like when you bought your first handi-rifle and green box of ammo. you cleaned the handi up, scrubbed all the cosmo-lean out of it so it shines real bright and locks up nice and tight, then you when out and sat on the front porch and shot up the right front fender on that '64 buick wildcat parked across the road by the other trailers. sweet. you squeezed off 20 rounds and no cops, the whole green box is empty, the fender is pretty well ventilated up so you reach back into the fridge and grabbed a nice warm can of piels. you wake up the next morning and go inside and tell the wife(285LBS) that you're going the local shootin' iron club and going to join up so you do the guy thing with guns. she grumbles, expresses doubts about your parentage as usual, but you hop into your brand new 1973 iron oxide colored ford F150 and head out to the shootin' iron club. (this is still the honey moon phase) you join up,pay the dues, and meet a bunch of drooling rednecks at the clubs' bar who scream and shake their beers at the tv as the nascar vehicle brandishing their beer brand explodes into heap of flaming corruption after it impacts the wall in turn 3 at 214 miles per hour. gun clubs with bars are cool. you notice they sell your brand there so after a few cold piels, you start talking to the guys about your new handi, you all stumble out to the parking lot and compare 'guns'. between adjustments to his brooklyn dodgers baseball hat and farts, billy-jim-bob tells you he can outshoot you and your stinkin' handi with his grandpappys' stevens 30-30 bolt gun. (scott, the honeymoneymoon phase is about to end) after a few minutes of wiping your brow clean of billy-jim-bob spittle, you go back into the clubhouse/bar, belly up and have a few more cans of the real stuff. forgetting about billy-jim-bob, you go out to the range and squeeze off 5 rounds and proudly place a quarter over all the holes. what a handi ! your new found friend, billy-jim-bob, pulls up his zipper after washing your front drivers side tire and hubcap, struts over to the range, turns his brooklyn dodgers hat around and puts 5 shots from grandpappy's stevens into "one" of the holes you just punched through that piece of paper. damn ! you've just entered the "disallusionment" phase" of the hobby. "how can this dumb-ass redneck outshoot my new handi with that piece of junk ??". dazed, confused, and disoriented, you make it back to the clubhouse/bar and manage to ingest two more cans of milwaukees finest before hopping into the F150 for the ride home. "that dumb-ass ruined my day at the club". the trucks' autopilot gets you home, the wife[285lbs] is there on the porch waiting for you, pissed, you wasted $14 on a green box and $25 to join a gun club when you were supposed to go to walmart and get her a king-sized box of she-man sized maxi-pads, the kind with Wings so as to protect her delicate undies that scott jr uses as parachutes when he jumps off the roof of the trailer. i use driveway sealer on my trailer roof. i find it seals yet protects.

so scott, does this sound like your life ???? is your trailer a double-wide ?

there are two more hobby phases, adjustment and quiescense. maybe i can expand upon them later.

you need to relax, you take things too seriously. besides, i think greybeard joined that same shootin' iron club !
