All I have heard of Bergara barrels are that they are not sound ! Only rumors from this forum . Don't take the chip !

I have a 7-08 rifle barrel and it is great. Finish on mine is not quite as good as on my T/C factory barrels, diameter seems to be just a smidge over what factory barrels are. Accuracy is better than my 7-08 T/C barrel. Most people on this Forum that have actually shot one seem to like them, I think the biggest detraction for a lot of people is they are not made in America. Steve E......... I have two, the scope mounts holes are not as precise as the ones on my other TC barrels. A 7mm-08 and a 222. I won't be buying more as the Bergaras don't work with the Talley scope mounts. But then again other than a Pro hunter in 300 and a Pro hunter in 300 Winchester I amd done. And I am not sure I am going to keep the TC's I have as while I love single shot rifles the sheer uglyness of the TC is overwealming.

I've had 8 or 9 go through my hands (most for sight-in for other folks), and all were doing MOA or better -- and that includes unbroken-in barrels and a couple with nothing more than factory ammo. The chambers are precisely aligned, and the crowns are concentric, two important factors that sometimes fall by the wayside with factory TC tubes. The only thing I have noticed is that the finishes are not as deep and rich as those from TC. Other than that, the Bergaras represent a good value and should prvide you with excellent shooting.
