I recently purchased an older red pad #1V in 25-06. I am wanting to shoot 115gr Berger VLD's. Does anyone have any exerience with these bullets in a #1? Also, I believe the twist in this barrel should be 1 in 10". Is this correct?

Thanks for the response. I will check out that Yahoo #1 forum. I am wanting to use the 115gr Berger VLD for a few reasons: One is that I plan to shoot medium size deer with the rifle, two is I plan to see what it can do as a long range varmint rifle, and three is because I am just so damn happy to not have to worry about magazine length that I wanted to give VLD a try to see if they are all that they are rumored to be.
