In the cast bullets section, there is a thread about leade angles of 45-70 chambers. Says that a change to a 1.5 degree took groups from 2.5" to 1" in the same box of ammo. In an Issue of Handlaoder this year, August I believe, there is an article on the 348, 444 and 45-70. In the part on the 444 the author speaks of the same thing, especially as related to Marlin Micro Groove barrels. The author of this article also insists such a change will facilitate higher velocities with cast bullets. I have wondered several times if this might be a cure for some of the cast bullet accuracy and velocity woes in the NEF's. What do you think???? | ||
