Posted 21 January 2006 05:50 I bought a browning B 78 some years ago and have one a little work on it. The first idea was to rebarrel it to 45-70 and make a silouette gun out of it. It was/is in rather bad shape. I have re stocked it and replaced the small ball bearings that hold the action closed. after doing this I found it actually is a good shooter so i have decided to keep it in 30-06. The next problem is that the forward of the two small screws on the bottom of the trigger has gone missing. This is part number PO74739 ----the Connector screw. A local gunsmith has been unable to locate such a part. I would like info on the availability of such part or a discription as to the correct size so that one can be made.

Thamks for the reply. I will contact the local 'smith and see if he has tried Western Gun Parts out of Edmonton as Browning listed them as having recieved much of their stock relating to the obsolete models.
