Might be interested in a middle caliber non-magnum except for possibly a 270 Weatherby or 257 Weatherby. Prestige model in well used condition is preferable but might go for a good deal on a nicer one.

Good choice. Wish my 300wm barrel was a 30r. Smoked a few whitetail with my 6.5x57r barrel two weeks ago in Oklahoma.....also am liking my 5.6x50r barrel. Have not had it long enough to blood it but man that thing shoots....

I was wondering about that 5.6X50R. What species do you intend to hunt with it?

Hi:

I have one, it is a Blaser K-95 Comtessa brand new in .308 Winchester caliber. And I am willing to DEAL on the price. It is an unadvertised model that can be bought from the factory in Germany. Very low serial number, Aluminum carrying case, Blaser Scope Mount Included and one gorgeous double rabbit stock with engraved side plates.

I sent you a PM.

PS If you live near Hershey, I live in Allentown, we are close. You can stop at the shop and see it in person!!

I got to move these Blasers, they have been here to long, starting other customs....LOL

Regards Jim P.

Everything from Armadillo's to small white tail. I help a buddy do a cull every year and with a 53 or 55 TSX it should work great.

I hear you Mac. All about shot placement. Sounds like a real screamer at over 3,200 fps.

My max budget is like $3,500 on this one. Favorite round is 6.5X57R.

Love this caliber also.

Still have brass, dies and bullets.

Sold my Krieghoff single shot Mad

Maybe I'll have to order a 6.5x57R barrel for my current K95 wood side octagon barrel rifle. Cool

Yep. I've got a 6.5 Creedmoor and numerous 7X57's. So, this round got my attention. Have fun. Ray

I might stretch the budget a bit for a K95 6.5X57R with no cheek piece. Hot button is armed and ready. Ray

Just looking at the available market, you will need to nearly double your budget for this.

I have turned down well in excess of $8k for my K95 Stutzen, several times.

Thanks Mr. Funk. Something will pop up in a caliber I like eventually. I've already passed on an '06 SENIOR MOMENT ALERT...correction..it is a .270, not '06(I already have several in that caliber, want something new) and a 300 magnum (too much for a light frame) both of which were around my budget and no cheek piece.

Yes, the 308 is an ideal caliber for the K-95. That or a 6.5x55, 7x57R, etc.

Keep your eyes open, especially at the bigger gun shows. If you have $3500-4000 cash in your pocket to spend, you may find a motivated seller.
Good luck in your search.

Thanks Lee. He also has a 300 mag at a good price. I'd rather get something other than a .270 as I have other rifles in that caliber and '06's and 7X57's. Hoping to run into something different like a 6.5X57 or even a .257 Weatherby. I appreciate the heads up.

There is a good secondary market for all Blaser barrels, if you find a rifle you like, buy it and swap out the barrel for something more suitable for your needs.

I did notice the barrel interchangeability and will consider that option. Pickin's seem a bit slim for K95's though.

Any K95 owner selling their rifle should see a psychiatrist

Best of luck anyway

The ones I have come across are all unshootable

Aka 9.3x74r , 300 weatherby 7mm mag .....

Get the point ?

If its in a sensible caliber and still on the shelf I would shoot it first before handing any money over

There is one for sale in England for the last 4 years with a throat problem but the dealer has kept quiet about it

I feel sorry for the new owner

I guess I am missing the attraction that some have to these overpriced, single shot, hogs. Looks like a breakdown H&R with a fancy stock.

Dpcd,

I do not think I can change your opinion about the K-95 as they are not everyone's cup of tea. Shoot one and your perspective will change.

Me three,

I have searched almost daily for three years.

I don't believe I've seen a K95 Stutzen for less than $5K anywhere legit and probably more like $7k during that time, and I'm pretty good at finding bargains. There are several K95 half stocks on GunBroker at present @ $4,200 up.

Best,

GWB

I saw those on GB. There was only one used Luxus at $4,500 that has a smooth-sided stock that I like. At that price I'd prefer the game scene sides if available. If I bump into any good deals on a used Stutzen along the way, I'll let you guys know.
