Is her anyone, knows if the .40-65 is out of production? I can not find anything at the webpage from Pedersoli. I know in the 2006 Dixie catalogue it is shown. When it´s out of production, is here anyone, can help me , how difficult is it to order a Shiloh Sharps in Germany. I will satisfeed with a new or a used. The model is not importent, only things like, a pistol grip, 30" #1 heavy barrel and the .40-65 and double set trigger I wants to have. In Southern Bavaria , there´s a grat dealer with nearly 100 Shiloh ans C.Sharps, but the price for a standard rifle is nearly at 2700.-€ (~4000.-$) and this is to much for me. The correct retail price is 1800.-$ and this are only 1300.-€. If I cann´t get a Shiloh , I would also satisfeed witha Pedersoli Sharps. Thanks for help. Martin

The US sales rep for Pedersoli is Dick Trenk and you can reach him at this board. I have been told that Pedersoli is responsive to direct emails from the public. They have a link at their site. MSN BPCR site If you are not stuck on the Sharps 74 you might consider a Browning 1885 in .40-65. They are available in the US in basically new condition for about $1700 and are known to be excellent in the silhouette competitions. I have one and it shoots much better than my Pedersoli 45-70. The Browning sights are also much better than Pedersolis and they come with the rifle. The factory mounted Pedersoli sights are no where the quality of the Browning sights. The factory issue Pedersoli sights will work for fixed distance shooting but are basically junk for competition. The extra cost Pedersoli Soule is not the quality of the Browning Soule sight either and it is also close to $400 EXTRA for a set of the better Pedersoli sights.
